SideNote is a chat and language learning app operated by App Studio Ben. This Privacy Policy explains what information SideNote collects, how it is used, and how you can contact us.

• Content you create in SideNote, including chat messages, Moments posts, comments, friend relationships, remarks, and block settings.
• Translation data needed to show translated messages or posts.
• Device notification tokens when you enable notifications.
• Subscription status when you upgrade to SideNote Pro.

How We Use Information

• To provide chat, Moments, translation, friend discovery, and notification features.
• To remember your language, time zone, and app preferences.
• To manage free and Pro subscription access.
• To improve reliability, security, and user support.

Third-Party Services

SideNote may use third-party services for authentication, database hosting, translation, payments, push notifications, and app distribution. These services may process data only as needed to provide SideNote features.

• Supabase for authentication and database services.
• DeepL for translation requests.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit for iOS subscriptions.
• Stripe for web subscriptions where available.
• Firebase or platform notification services for push notifications.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your profile may be visible to other SideNote users only when you choose to make your ID public. Messages, posts, and comments are shared with the users who are allowed to see them inside SideNote.

Data Retention

We keep your account, content, translation cache, and subscription records while your account is active or as needed to provide the service, meet legal requirements, prevent abuse, and resolve disputes.

Your Choices

• You can change your display name, languages, time zone, and public ID setting in the app.
• You can disable notifications in SideNote or in your device settings.
• You can contact us to request account or data deletion.

Children

SideNote is not intended for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.
